There are countless ways to get involved here at Ball State. Take some time to think about your own personal interests and goals. Chances are that you will find something here at Ball State just for that. Good luck and happy searching!

Benny Link

Benny Link is Ball State’s one-stop destination for finding student organizations and campus events. Here, you can search all of the clubs and organizations on campus and see a calendar of all of the events that they are hosting. Benny Link is very intuitive and allows you to filter based on your interests and a variety of other factors.

Departmental Resources

Beyond just consulting your professor, each college has a variety of resources for students. A good starting place is going to the page for your college on bsu.edu. There will be information on your particular school, including organizations, activities and opportunities within it.

The Activity Fair

Right after you move on to campus, walk over to the Jo Ann Gora Student Recreation and Wellness Center to find a club or organization to join! On August 18 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. groups will gather to show you what they’re all about. Each organization has a table to display activities their clubs do, as well as a sign up sheet for you to get started.

Professors

Another great resource to get involved is the professors in your college. Professors have a lot of knowledge about the opportunities within your college, as well as careers and internships. Many professors also oversee clubs or other student organizations, so they could help point you in the right direction. Additionally, this is a great way to get advice on your career and future endeavors.

CCIM SuperParty

There is no better way to start the term off than by coming to the CCIM SuperParty! Explore, connect, and engage with the 35+ student organizations within the College of Communication, Information, and Media (CCIM). Tables will line the second floor halls from the Art and Journalism building all the way to Letterman.

Students from all majors are welcome to join, offering more ways than ever to find the organizations that fit your interests and career aspirations. Whether you are looking to make friends, discover new interests, or build your resume, we have the organization for you! In the true spirit of SuperParty, we will keep the event extra fun with music, giveaways, games, free pizza, and cake in the Letterman lobby.

Career Resources

The Ball State Career Center is a handy resource for all things related to finding a job and preparing for career readiness. On the Career Center site, you can find the Cardinal Career Link, the digital version of the entire Career Center. Here, you can find job postings for both on-campus and off-campus jobs, internships and professional employment. You can also see a calendar of Career Center events, such as professional workshops.
